Key Takeaways
The essentials — without legal language
- Necessary cookies are always on — the site cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies are enabled only with your consent. Off by default.
- We have no marketing cookies. None at all.
- You can change your settings at any time via the button above.
What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember your preferences without asking the same question on every visit.
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain for a set period (persistent cookies).
Which Cookies We Use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ml_session | Necessary | User session | Until tab closes | Mentallect |
| ml_consent | Necessary | Records your cookie preferences | 1 year | Mentallect |
| __csrf_token | Necessary | Protects forms against CSRF attacks | Until tab closes | Mentallect |
| ph_distinct_id | Analytics | Anonymous visitor identifier for statistics | 1 year | PostHog (EU) |
| ph_session_id | Analytics | Current session identifier for analytics | 30 minutes | PostHog (EU) |
Analytics cookies (ph_*) are set only after your explicit consent. They are not active by default.
Consent Management
On your first visit, you will see a banner with preference settings. Three options — equally sized buttons:
- Accept all — enables necessary and analytics cookies
- Necessary only — analytics remains disabled
- Customise — choose categories yourself
Your choice is stored for 12 months. If our policy changes, we will ask for your consent again.
Analytics — PostHog
If you consent to analytics, we use PostHog — a platform whose servers are located in the European Union. Your data is not transferred outside the EEA.
PostHog collects anonymised traffic data: which pages are viewed, for how long, and from which devices. This information is not linked to your name or email.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar advertising network tools.
Changing Your Settings
You can change your cookie settings at any time in two ways:
- Via the "Your current settings" block at the top of this page
- Via your browser settings — instructions for major browsers available on the ICO website
Disabling analytics cookies does not affect site functionality.
