Mental Engineering
Therapy — Mentallect

Deep. Structured. Measurable.

The format

Why Mental Engineering works when standard therapy has not

Every session is defined. Every cycle produces a written report. Progress is measured — not assumed.

Structured Protocol
Every session has a defined goal

Before each session begins, the agenda is established. No drifting. No open-ended talking to fill 50 minutes. Each session moves a specific therapeutic objective forward — and you know what that objective is.

Visible Milestones
Progress measured, not assumed

We establish a clinical baseline at intake and track change at every cycle. At the end of each working block, you receive a written progress report with data — not an impression of how things went.

Honest Reviews
If progress stalls, we say so

After each therapeutic cycle, the data is reviewed honestly. If the protocol is not producing movement, we adjust — or we tell you directly that a different approach may be warranted. No indefinite continuation.

This is not open-ended talking therapy. Mental Engineering is a structured clinical format designed for people who want measurable results — not ongoing symptom management.

Fit criteria

Is this the right format for you?

Mental Engineering is designed for those who want resolution — not a relationship with their symptoms that lasts indefinitely.

This format works well if…

  • Previous therapy helpful but insufficient — progress plateaued or approach lacked structure
  • Wants measurable outcomes, not ongoing symptom management
  • Ready to engage actively — not a passive process
  • Can commit to a defined block of sessions
  • Prefers to understand what is happening and why
  • Values honesty over reassurance, including on pace and progress

This may not be the right fit if…

  • In acute crisis requiring daily support or immediate psychiatric intervention
  • Looking for long-term open-ended relationship without defined objectives
  • Not yet at a stability level that allows deep processing work
  • Prefers symptom management over addressing underlying structure

Not certain? The Intro Call is exactly where we work this out — together, before any commitment is made.

The process

What happens, step by step

Five defined stages. No ambiguity. You know exactly where you are and what comes next.

A focused video consultation to understand your history, your goals, and whether this format is the right fit. Not a sales conversation — a clinical screening. If you proceed, the fee is credited in full toward your programme.

A comprehensive assessment using standardised clinical measures. This establishes your baseline — the reference point against which all future progress is tracked. The result is a clinical report outlining your presentation, the assigned protocol, and the treatment objectives.

Standardised measuresClinical baseline report

Based on the assessment, a written treatment plan is produced. This specifies the Mental Engineering protocol selected for your presentation, the session schedule, and the specific objectives for the first working block. No ambiguity about what happens next.

Written treatment planSession scheduleDefined objectives

Extended therapeutic sessions — each with a defined agenda, structured into check-in, intervention, and consolidation phases. The core therapeutic work happens here. At the end of each cycle, a written progress report is issued comparing current measures against baseline.

110–130 minutesProgress report per cycleOnline · secure platform

At the close of each working block, the clinical data is reviewed with you. Baseline scores are compared against current scores. If the protocol is producing results, we continue. If not, we adjust — or we tell you directly that a different approach may be warranted. This is a joint decision point, guided by evidence.

What happens inside a single session

110–130 minutes. Three defined phases. Every session, without exception.

~15 min

Check-in

Current state assessment. What has changed since the last session. Confirming the agenda for this session.

Intervention

The core therapeutic work within the Mental Engineering framework — structured intervention matched to your clinical presentation. Sustained, uninterrupted focus.

Consolidation

Grounding and stabilisation. Session summary. Agreed focus for the next session, noted in writing.

110–130 minutes total. Long enough to do real work — not to occupy a time slot.

You will see exactly where you started and how far you have come

1
Entry baseline

Before the first Deep Session, we measure the current clinical picture across the relevant dimensions for your presentation. This is your reference point — precise, documented, objective.

2
Cycle-by-cycle tracking

After each working block, the same measures are re-taken and compared against baseline. Progress is quantified — not estimated from how the session felt.

3
Completion review

At the close of the programme, a final comparison is conducted. You leave with a document that maps your full trajectory — where you entered, what changed, and what remains. Data you own.

Specific measures vary by clinical presentation and are selected at the assessment stage. All tools used are peer-validated and evidence-based.

Your clinical trajectory

The trajectory belongs to you. A written record of your clinical progress — issued at each review and at programme completion.

Deliverables

Therapy that leaves something behind

Every stage of the process produces a document. When it ends, you have a complete record — not just a memory of conversations.

Initial clinical report

A documented baseline following the assessment phase — your clinical entry point, the protocol assigned, and the objectives for the first working block.

Progress report per cycle

After each block of sessions: what was covered, what changed against the baseline, and the agreed focus for the next cycle.

Session summaries

A brief written summary after each session — what was worked on and the key consolidation points. Available to you in your secure client portal.

Measurable results of your progress

At programme completion: a final comparative document mapping entry baseline against current measures. Your trajectory, expressed in data — not in impressions.

Scope of work

Conditions we work with

Mental Engineering has been applied to a defined range of clinical presentations. Not a general-purpose service — a targeted one.

What we don't do

Clarity about scope is part of clinical responsibility — not a limitation.

50-minute open sessions

Every session has a defined agenda and runs 110–130 minutes. We do not offer conventional hour-long sessions without a structured protocol.

Crisis intervention as primary care

If you are in acute crisis, you need immediate support — not therapy sessions. We provide referral guidance and emergency resources in those situations.

Indefinite open-ended therapy

We work in defined blocks with explicit review points. Ongoing therapy without objectives and without review is not our format.

Symptom management as the goal

We aim at the underlying structure, not at making symptoms more tolerable over a longer period of time.

Prescriptions or medication management

Mentallect provides psychotherapy and assessment services only. For medication, we can provide referral recommendations.

Assessment without clinical baseline

We do not begin therapeutic work without an established baseline. Without a starting point, progress cannot be measured.
